What You'll Do:

• Provide high-quality nursing care to PCU patients, including CVA, TIA, and COVID-19 patients
• Manage patient monitoring equipment, including arterial lines and CVLs
• Administer and titrate drips such as Levophed, Amiodarone, Cardizem, and Insulin
• Perform Foley catheter management, tube feedings via NGT or PEG, and blood glucose management
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including hospitalists, RT, OT, PT, and ST
• Follow infection control protocols, including PPE and patient safety standards
• Document patient care accurately using Meditech Expanse EMR

What You Need:
Required:

• Valid RN license in Louisiana or the ability to obtain
• 2+ years of RN experience in acute care, preferably within a hospital setting
• BLS, ACLS, NIHSS certifications
• Proficiency in IV management, drip titration, and patient assessments

Preferred:

• Experience with CVL management, arterial lines, and NGT/PEG feeding
• NIHSS experience and familiarity with Meditech EMR

About the Assignment:
Join a dedicated team at a top healthcare facility offering a fast-paced, supportive environment focused on patient safety and clinical excellence. The unit primarily manages complex medical-surgical and step-down patients, including those with cerebrovascular events and respiratory needs. Orientation includes 2 days hospital training plus a 12-hour shift. The facility ensures PPE availability and adherence to all safety protocols. You will work a flexible schedule, including every other weekend, with the possibility of on-call responsibilities. Parking is free, and professionalism is expected at all times.
