• Required Licenses/Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
• Experience: Minimum 2 years adult acute care RN experience
• Patient Population: Respiratory failure, sepsis, stroke, DKA, post-heart cath, post-arteriogram
• Patient Ratios: 1:3
• Specific Skills: EKG competency, CVL management, foley/care, tube feedings, arterial lines, diabetes management, drip titration (Levophed, Amiodarone, Cardizem, Insulin)

What You'll Do:

• Provide direct patient care in a PCU setting for adult patients with complex medical needs
• Manage stable and unstable patients including ventilated, post-procedure, and high-acuity cases
• Administer medications, monitor patient status, and document care using Meditech Expanse EMR
• Assist in procedures such as CVL placement, arterial lines, and managing drips
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team including hospitalist, RT, PT, OT, and ST
• Float to other units such as Stroke and Med/Surg as needed, maintaining flexibility
• Support a positive, professional environment adhering to hospital policies and safety protocols

What You Need:

• Active RN license in Louisiana
• Minimum of 2 years of adult acute care RN experience
• BLS, ACLS, NIHSS certifications
• Ability to pass an EKG competency exam
• Strong clinical and communication skills

Preferred:

• Experience in ICU or cardiac units
• Experience managing invasive lines and drips
• Flexibility to float between units
