Fiscal Technician

The Tax Claim Office of Monroe County PA is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Fiscal Technician to join our team. This position is responsible for performing administrative and bookkeeping functions that support the financial and tax collection operations of the Tax Claim Office. Duties include processing invoices and payments, maintaining financial records, balancing accounts, preparing reports, assisting with tax sale preparation, researching delinquent tax accounts, processing payment plans, and providing customer service to taxpayers and the public.

This role offers an opportunity to contribute to the efficient administration of Monroe County's tax collection processes while supporting the services provided by the Tax Claim Office.

Minimum qualifications for the position are as follows:

• Must possess a high school diploma or GED.
• Must possess two (2) years of previous experience and/or training involving accounting, bookkeeping, tax-related work, data entry, or a related field; or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which provides the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities for this position.
