The Housekeeper is responsible for creating a clean, comfortable, and welcoming environment for guests by maintaining guest rooms, cottages, residences, and common areas to High Hampton standards. This position performs room turnovers, stayover and turndown services, linen care, and general housekeeping duties while providing courteous and professional service. The Housekeeper plays an important role in delivering an exceptional guest experience through attention to detail, cleanliness, and care of the property.

Pay Range: $16.00–$20.00 per hour. Starting compensation will be determined based on experience, skills, and other job-related factors.

Must be available to work weekends and holidays as business needs require.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include, but are not limited to, the following.

• Guest Interaction: Provides friendly, polite, and professional service while interacting with guests throughout the property.
• Guest Room Preparation: Cleans, sanitizes, and prepares guest rooms between stays, ensuring all spaces meet High Hampton cleanliness and presentation standards.
• Stayover and Turndown Services: Performs daily stayover and turndown services, including bed making, linen replacement, replenishment of guest amenities, and general room refreshes.
• Common Areas and Team Spaces: Maintains the cleanliness and presentation of common areas, team member spaces, offices, bathrooms, break rooms, and other assigned locations.
• Private Homes and Specialty Cleaning: Cleans and sanitizes private homes, kitchens, bathrooms, and high-touch surfaces using approved cleaning methods and products.
• Equipment and Supply Care : Maintains housekeeping carts, vans and equipment, ensuring carts are cleaned, stocked, charged, and prepared for the next shift.
• Reporting and Communication: Immediately reports maintenance, safety, and room condition concerns to the appropriate departments and communicates inventory or supply needs to management.
• Lost and Found Procedures: Follows established lost and found procedures by securing items discovered in guest accommodations and promptly notifying management and the Front Desk.
• Additional Duties as assigned

To perform the essential functions of this position regular and consistent attendance is required.

Must be able to work well with other team members, managers and guests.

QUALIFICATIONS and SKILLS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

• Previous housekeeping, hospitality, cleaning, or related experience preferred.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

• Ability to communicate effectively with guests, managers, and fellow team members.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

• Basic mathematical skills, including counting, measuring, and maintaining inventory of supplies.

REASONING ABILITY

• Ability to exercise sound judgment, follow established procedures, identify concerns, and make decisions consistent with departmental and company goals.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

• Regularly required to stand, walk, bend, kneel, crouch, reach, and perform repetitive motions throughout the workday.
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 30 pounds and safely operate company vehicles and golf carts.
• Position requires working with cleaning chemicals and equipment and performing physically demanding tasks for extended periods of time.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

• Work is performed throughout guest rooms, cottages, residences, common areas, and other locations across High Hampton's 1,400-acre property. While most duties are performed indoors, team members are regularly required to travel between work locations and may be exposed to varying weather conditions.
