Project Engineer (Systems Integration) - Early Career

Role Overview Lockheed Martin Rotary & Mission Systems is seeking a full‑time Early Career Project Engineer. The engineer will support the Project Lead with technical product facilitation, product reviews, and program execution tasking and tracking. The successful candidate will have experience or knowledge of systems integration, agile practices, and cross‑functional engineering teams. Depending on program need, this role could also support Ship I&T Domestic Project combat system integration portfolios such as DDG AMOD / Backfit, DDG Post Delivery, Aegis Ashore (AA), Frigate (FFX), Littoral Combat Ship (LCS), and Multi‑Mission Surface Combatant (MMSC). Must be a U.S. Citizen and will require a government security clearance. The position is located at a facility that requires special access. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in an engineering or closely related discipline. Strong initiative and exceptional teamwork skills. Proficient with Microsoft Office products. Ability to travel ~15% of time. Desired Skills Familiar with technical documents. Experience with Agile processes and tools. Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills. Demonstrated ability to work with cross‑functional engineering teams. Ability to work remotely with general guidance. Security Clearance This position requires a government security clearance. U.S. citizenship is required for consideration. Clearance level: Secret. Work Schedules Schedule for this position: 4‑hour days, 10 hours total per day with 3 days off per week. Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules to provide additional flexibility. Pay and Benefits The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington, or Washington DC is $57,500 – $101,430. For states not referenced, the salary range will reflect the candidate’s work location.
