Demand Planning Manager

Retail Channel Demand Planning Sr. ManagerWe are looking for a highly analytical and detail-oriented Retail Channel Demand Planning Sr. Manager to join our team in supporting Stanley Black and Deckers T&O Retail Channel business. In this role, you will be responsible for analyzing sales and demand patterns, collaborating with key retail channels, developing accurate demand forecasts, and communicating demand plan decisions to key stakeholders. This role will facilitate the 0 to 15 month forecast alignment process with Commercial Sales and Channel teams. The Retail Channel Demand Planning Sr. Manager will continuously drive confidence and reliability with all stakeholders to support Commercial teams, operations, and commercial finance. This position requires strong analytical skills, exceptional communication abilities, and a keen understanding of demand planning principles. Location: This is a hybrid role based out of our headquarters in Towson, MD.What You Will DoCollaborate closely with commercial teams and other stakeholders to gather sales and demand information, understand market trends, and develop accurate and reliable 15-month forecastsWork with Commercial teams to understand business conditions, trends, and assumptions. Review and confirm promotional volume and timingKnowledge share with category demand planner to resolve major variances and gain alignment with the category planning teamsAnalyze historical sales data, market trends, and other relevant factors to identify demand patterns, seasonality, and potential risks or opportunitiesApply impactful and significant demand changes to the forecast in a timely manner. Leverage customer POS, inventory, and planned order sensing to enhance short horizon based forecastsSupport new product launches, promotions, and other supply chain initiatives, by providing accurate demand forecasts and coordinating with internal teams to meet customer expectationsUtilize demand planning tools, software, and statistical models to generate accurate forecasts, considering factors such as customer promotions, pricing changes, and market dynamicsMonitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) for customer forecast accuracy, including WMAPE and BIAS while continuously driving metric improvements through analysis of customer trends, sales team insights, and business intelligenceDrive continuous improvement in demand planning capabilityWho You Are (Basic Qualifications)Experience in a demand planning, supply chain management, or a similar roleExperience effectively collaborating with internal teams and building strong relationships with key accountsExperience using data to solve problems, make informed decisions, and implement effective solutionsProficient in using Microsoft Excel, data visualization tools, and other relevant software applicationsWhat Will Put You AheadConsumer Packaged Goods (CPG) or retail industry experienceBachelor's degree in supply chain management, business, mathematics, statistics, or a related fieldExperience analyzing complex data sets, identifying patterns, and generating accurate demand forecastsProficiency in demand planning software and statistical forecasting toolsExperience with JDA/SAP IBP or similar advance planning systemsKnowledge of supply chain management principles and demand planning best practicesFamiliarity with sales and operations planning (S&OP) or Integrated Business Planning (IBP) processes and cross-functional collaborationStrong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectivelyWe Don't Just Build The World, We Build Innovative Technology TooJoining the Stanley Black & Decker team means working in an innovative, tech-driven and highly collaborative team environment supported by over 58,000 professionals in 60 countries across the globe.
