CT Technologist - Flexible Shifts

Job Description

CT Technologists utilize computerized tomography (CT) scanners to produce cross-sectional images of patients' internal organs and tissues for the diagnosis of medical issues. The role requires the ability to interpret a physician's scanning instructions, administer contrast materials, prepare and operate CT scan equipment, and position patients accurately to capture the appropriate images.

Responsibilities

• Conduct friendly, courteous, and respectful interactions with all individuals.
• Advocate for patient privacy and confidentiality.
• Maintain a clean and safe hospital environment.
• Respond appropriately to emergency situations.
• Ensure compliance with regulations for accreditation and licensure.
• Assure all CT images are of optimum diagnostic quality.
• Accurately assess and position patients for procedures.
• Review physician orders for accuracy before starting examinations.
• Document and enter patient orders and charges accurately into the system.
• Coordinate daily schedules and ensure efficient patient flow.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Graduate from an accredited school of Radiology Technology or equivalent.
• Minimum of 1 year of CT experience preferred or equivalent experience as determined by the Department Manager.
• Massachusetts Department of Public Health Radiology License required.
• ARRT (R) certification is preferred; ARRT (CT) required within two years of hire.

Schedule

Flexible shifts, including first and second shift coverage as needed, with potential weekend and holiday work.
