- Conduct comprehensive evaluations for pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients employing standardized tests and observational assessments.
- Create individualized treatment plans targeting both immediate and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing goals.
- Engage in tailored speech therapy sessions that concentrate on areas such as fluency, language, voice, and swallowing.
- Collaborate seamlessly with a multidisciplinary team including physical therapists, occupational therapists, nursing professionals, physicians, and family members to implement integrated care plans.
- Educate patients and their families to reinforce progress beyond therapy sessions.
- Participate in inpatient speech therapy evaluations and interventions, ensuring a smooth continuum of care throughout the recovery process.
- Maintain thorough and timely documentation in compliance with state, federal, and institutional regulations.
- Keep abreast of the latest advancements in speech-language pathology through ongoing professional development and peer consultation.
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
- Satisfactory completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if still pursuing ASHA certification.
- Valid state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
- Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of hire.
- Expertise in evidence-based treatment methods for all ages, with comprehensive knowledge of developmental and acquired communication disorders.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills for effective interactions with patients, families, and the care team.
- Skill in adapting therapeutic approaches to accommodate diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds.
