Paid Internships Offered Fall 2026 – Paid internship during the Fall semester Spring 2027 – Paid internship during the Spring semester Summer 2027 – 12‑week full‑time paid internship during the Summer Potential Project Locations Texas (Dallas‑Fort Worth, Austin, Houston) Arizona (Phoenix area) Florida (Orlando, Tampa) California (Los Angeles) Intern Responsibilities Have a hands‑on career‑enhancing experience on commercial construction projects Work and learn from industry experts Receive training in and use industry‑specific software Grow your professional network and skillset Project Intern Duties Process submittals by reviewing, filing, and distributing them Send RFIs to architects and engineers Maintain concrete, rebar, RFI, and plan logs Resolve problems from plans and specifications Establish control points and lines using level, theodolite, total station Locate embeds in slab and verify embed locations per approved shops Assist in locating openings in the structure and establishing vertical control Locate other miscellaneous items in the field (curbs, inlets, etc.) Document: update and distribute construction drawings, specifications, shop drawings, and samples Aid with quality control inspections using specific software Verify pre‑pour checklists and ensure proper formwork framing/shoring installation Participate in and aid weekly safety meetings, including writing minutes Lead project orientation and maintenance logs Assist with maintaining project look‑ahead schedules Assist with trade contractor coordination and scheduling Verify construction techniques per plans and specs and raise concerns, following through with trade until corrected Maintain city inspection records and walk with Superintendent during inspections Other miscellaneous duties as defined by the Project Manager or Superintendent Internship Experience Interns, titled Project Interns, will have a preliminary meeting with their supervisor to discuss goals, expectations, and desired outcomes. After the internship term, employee‑owners participating in the internship will be reviewed. Interns are classified as temporary employee‑owners and are not eligible for vacation or holiday pay. They are expected to work a regular scheduled workweek.
