A Dietary Aide is an essential member of the healthcare and nutrition team, responsible for preparing, serving, and managing meals for patients and residents in settings rehabilitation centers

• Meal Preparation & Serving: Prepare and serve meals according to specified dietary requirements, including special diets (e.g., diabetic, low-sodium, high-protein)

• Dining Area Support: Assist in setting up and cleaning dining areas to maintain a safe, sanitary environment

• Food Safety & Storage: Ensure proper food storage, handling, and sanitation to meet health regulations

• Inventory Management: Stock pantry items, manage food supplies, and assist in ordering when needed

• Patient Monitoring: Monitor and report changes in dietary needs or eating habits to dietitians or supervisors

  Collaboration: Work with dietitians, nurses, and kitchen staff to deliver consistent, high-quality meals

• Documentation: Record meal intake and dietary changes accurately

• Training Support: Assist in training new staff or residents on meal service procedures

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent

• Experience: Previous experience in healthcare, food service, or dietary roles preferred

• Knowledge: Understanding of dietary guidelines, meal planning, and nutrition basics

• Certifications: Food safety certification or related training is often required

• Skills: Strong communication, interpersonal skills, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and comfort with patients of all ages and health conditions

• Technical Skills: Proficiency in using dietary management software may be required
