This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Shift: Four (9 hour) day shifts scheduled between Monday-Friday. Start time depends on daily assignment. One overnight call shift per week and two weekend call shifts during a 6-week period.

Job Description

The Endoscopy RN will provide specialized nursing care in the Endoscopy unit. The role involves working in Pre-op, PACU, and procedure rooms, ensuring high-quality patient care and safety throughout various endoscopic procedures.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for endoscopic procedures, ensuring comfort and safety.
• Monitor patients during recovery in PACU, ensuring vital signs and responsiveness are within acceptable parameters.
• Assist physicians during procedures, utilizing specialized equipment and techniques.
• Administer medications and provide interventions as prescribed.
• Educate patients and families on post-procedure care and instructions.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Must have active NC or Compact State Nursing License.
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required.
• Prior experience in Endoscopy is preferred, particularly with pediatric and pulmonary endoscopy.
