Salary is competitive and commensurate with senior-level experience.Position overview: The Senior Tax Manager oversees complex tax engagements, ensures the highest level of technical accuracy, develops and leads staff, maintains strong client relationships, and supports firmwide growth initiatives through exceptional service delivery and operational excellence.Key responsibilities include providing final technical review on tax returns and related documents, researching complex tax issues and preparing well-supported recommendations, staying current with changes in tax laws and accounting procedures, planning, scheduling, and managing client engagements to ensure timely completion, communicating directly with clients to ensure their needs and best interests are prioritized, leading, supporting, and mentoring staff by setting objectives, managing budgets, and fostering a positive work environment, monitoring quality control and evaluating staff performance, assigning, tracking, and managing tasks and projects delegated to staff and supervisors, taking an active role in developing staff and supervisors, building and nurturing internal and external networks to develop new business opportunities, overseeing billing, collections, WIP monitoring, aging, and write-downs, and participating in and helping facilitate in-house CPE and training programs.Qualifications include CPA certification required, minimum of ten years of public accounting experience, demonstrated leadership ability with strong decision-making skills, ability to stay calm and effective under pressure, and highly organized with the ability to prioritize a heavy workload.
