Emergency Veterinarian

Overview Capital Veterinary Specialists, JAX is looking for a full‑time Emergency Veterinarian to join our team as part of the Thrive Pet Healthcare community in Hoffman Estates, Illinois. Responsibilities Provide emergency care for sick and injured patients, manage hospitalized cases, assess and diagnose patients, develop and oversee treatment plans, partner closely with technicians, perform surgeries, deliver critical care, and maintain an exceptional standard of service for every patient who enters our emergency department. Qualifications Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM / VMD) or equivalent degree required State Veterinary Board License: active and in good standing for the state of intended employment; obtained prior to start date Active DEA license or DEA licensure eligible Experience in emergency medicine or completion of small animal rotating or emergency internships is highly recommended Compensation Competitive base salary with production opportunities – no negative accrual. Negotiable based on credentials and experience with an annual full‑time range starting at $180,000 per year.
