Records Specialist

This open competitive advertisement is for an OPS position that will report to the Statewide Records Retention Center in Raiford, FL. The purpose of the Records Specialist is to efficiently manage and organize personnel, classification, and medical records in various formats while performing clerical tasks, operating office and warehouse equipment, and maintaining effective communication and teamwork. This position is not a telework position and is required to report to the FDC office in the area it serves.

Job Duties:

• Manage personnel, classification, and medical records in both electronic and paper formats.
• Perform basic clerical tasks like filing records numerically and alphabetically and handling records inventory.
• Operate or learn to use office equipment such as document scanners and warehouse tools like pallet jacks and forklifts.
• Communicate clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing.
• Build good working relationships and apply logical thinking to solve problems.

Requirements:

• Must possess a high school diploma or its equivalent.
• Must possess a valid driver's license.
• Must be able to lift 40 lbs.
• Must possess the ability to become a certified forklift operator.
• Support of knowledge, skills, and abilities should be demonstrated on the application, in the education, in the work experience, in the work sample, in the interview and/or during reference checks.
