MRI Technologist Weekend Nights

Role Overview MRI Technologists perform diagnostic, therapeutic, or research magnetic resonance imaging using radiofrequencies within a magnetic field. They acquire, analyze, and prepare imaging data for interpretation by licensed practitioners, ensuring patient safety and adherence to protocols. Key Responsibilities Obtain correct orders, identify and prepare patients, and document clinical history with confidentiality. Utilize appropriate imaging protocols, optimize technical factors, and apply ALARA principles for safety. Prepare and administer medications via vascular access as prescribed. Evaluate images for quality, proper positioning, and verify data storage or transfer. Educate and monitor students and healthcare providers. Apply magnetic resonance safety principles to minimize risks. Assist with MRI interventional procedures and perform prescribed imaging tasks. Select pulse sequences based on protocols and data acquisition factors. Participate in quality improvement activities and demonstrate proficiency in routine and complex duties. Qualifications & Skills Certification by ARRT, ARMRIT, or NMTCB with MR specialization. Graduate of a Specialty Training Program in Radiologic Technology; a Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
