Accounts Payable Bookkeeper

SNELLING is seeking an Accounts Payable Specialists/ Bookkeeper for a respected East Texas organization. This role is responsible for accounts payable processing, reconciliations, payroll support, record keeping, and other accounting-related duties. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of bookkeeping principles, excellent organizational skills, and a commitment to accuracy

This Accounts Payable Specialist/ Bookkeeper position will be Temp-to-Hire, meaning that SNELLING would work with you through the consideration and interview process and SNELLING would be your employer for a certain time period until the company decided to hire.

Responsibilities

• Receive, verify, and process invoices for payment.
• Research and resolve invoice and vendor statement discrepancies.
• Reconcile accounts payable activity, financial institution statements, and accounting records.
• Maintain accurate financial records and supporting documentation.
• Assist with payroll processing and related administrative tasks.
• Compile and organize credit card documentation.
• Support budget preparation and annual audit activities.
• Complete special projects and additional accounting duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of accounts payable and/or bookkeeping experience required.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, including accounts payable processes.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word, and Teams.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
• Associate's degree in Accounting or Business preferred; equivalent experience will be considered.
• Public sector experience is a plus but not required.

Compensation & Benefits

• $45,000 - $55,000 annually , depending on experience and qualifications.
