FIELD SERVICE TECHNICIAN

Protecting People.” We are seeking a Field Service Technician to partner with our experienced field services team in this environmentally focused industry.A Field Service Technician at Smith and Loveless operates autonomously, utilizing all the mechanical and electrical resources and support provided by the company. In addition to the factory's support, their previous technical knowledge and experience will become essential to help troubleshoot and resolve our client’s needs. Some college or technical school preferred.2 – 4 years’ experience in equipment servicing and troubleshooting.Working knowledge of pumping equipment, water treatment equipment, and controls preferred.Mechanical experience with tools and assembly piping, gaskets, and gears preferred.Electrical experience in relay logic, PLCs high voltage, and schematics preferred. Coding skills for PLC’s and control panels a PLUS.Good oral and written communication.Strong analytical and problem-solving ability.Good customer service skills with accuracy and follow through.Able to read and understand blueprints and wiring diagrams.Excellent troubleshooting skills (electrical & mechanical) with ability to work independently.Must have valid driver’s license and U.S. passport (or ability to possess a passport)Physical requirementsThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an associate to successfully perform the essential functions of this position.
