About the Position

Description: This is a contract position for a Registered Nurse in the Postpartum specialty. The assignment is for a duration of 13 weeks with day shifts from 07:00 to 19:00. No call requirements are needed for this position. The unit has a total of 24 beds and 26 staff members, including one charge nurse and four registered nurses. During day shifts, there is one clerk available. There are no patient care technicians on duty during the night. Patient ratios typically range from 3:1 to 4:1, with occasional 2:1 ratios based on patient acuity. The unit utilizes EMR systems for charting and documentation. Skills that will be prioritized include experience in labor and delivery or antepartum nursing. Typical procedures performed on the unit include non-stress tests, hyperemesis management, insulin drips, magnesium administration, and heparin drips. Ideal candidates will be teamwork-oriented and possess good communication skills. The dress code requires navy blue scrubs.
