Registered Nurse - Night Shift

Night Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM

This is a 13-week contract position.

The Registered Nurse (RN) is a clinical practitioner responsible for coordinating and implementing patient care specific to the age of the patient population served on the assigned unit. The RN ensures quality care is provided efficiently and safely, consistent with the unit's standards of care. This role demonstrates performance consistent with the mission, philosophy, and goals of the unit and organization, illustrating effectiveness through work habits and clinical practice.

• Conduct initial assessments and establish priorities based on patient age, symptoms, and psychosocial needs.
• Reassess patient systems systematically to identify progress and trends requiring intervention.
• Develop and implement measurable individualized care plans within the established timeframe.
• Make comprehensive nursing decisions based on fact evaluations and patient outcome interpretations; modify care plans as necessary.
• Participate in patient health education and discharge planning with patients and significant others.
• Implement and document timely interventions that meet patient needs.
• Evaluate the effectiveness of patient care plans.
• Perform various Point of Care testing procedures.

• Current RN license in New Mexico or current compact state license.
• Current BLS certification from AHA.
• Current ACLS certification.
• Current NRP certification.
• Graduate of an accredited program for Registered Nursing.
• Knowledge of patient rights in the delivery of care and ability to communicate effectively.
