Position Overview

We are seeking a highly collaborative, business-minded UX/UI Design Lead to join our core Product & Design collective in a full-time remote capacity. In this senior creative leadership seat, you will combine exceptional design craft with systems thinking, owning digital engagements end-to-end across a variety of complex client projects. Acting as a trusted advisor at the intersection of user research, healthcare business requirements, and frontend technical feasibility, you will set the comprehensive design direction for digital products, websites, and patient journeys. This position demands a seasoned Figma practitioner who can confidently facilitate executive client workshops, establish scalable design tokens, integrate AI-first design methodologies, and actively coach junior designers to elevate overall team standards.

Key Responsibilities

• End-to-End Design Leadership: Lead and execute comprehensive UX/UI design tracks across multi-layered client engagements, steering projects flawlessly from discovery and initial product strategy through execution, style guide codification, and post-launch optimization.
• Scalable Design System Creation: Construct, govern, and scale interactive, responsive design systems, UI components, and component libraries natively inside Figma utilizing industry-best atomization practices.
• Autonomous UX Research & Synthesis: Plan and pilot user research tracks, including user interviews, live usability testing loops, property audits, and collaborative synthesis workshops to translate data insights into user-centered digital solutions.
• Accessibility & HIPAA Compliance Enforcement: Champion absolute inclusivity by enforcing rigorous accessibility standards, inclusive user experience goals, and strict healthcare HIPAA compliance requirements across all interactive screens.
• Cross-Functional Alignment: Partner tightly alongside internal brand strategists, technical researchers, backend software developers, and content creators to guarantee seamless, pixel-perfect engineering handoffs and platform implementation.
• Executive Stakeholder Facilitation: Lead strategic corporate conversations, interface designs, prototype presentations, and executive stakeholder reviews with absolute clarity, defending your design rationale through research metrics and business objectives.
• Creative Team Mentorship: Foster a growth-oriented, collaborative design culture by providing continuous technical coaching, structured portfolio critiques, and professional development guidance to junior design staff.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 7+ years of verified professional history running complex UX/UI design, product design, digital experience creation, or interface architecture tracks, highlighting measurable success inside an active agency framework.
• An elite creative design portfolio demonstrating deep-tier strategic systems thinking, expert visual layout capabilities, and high-impact digital platform solutions.
• Advanced, master-tier product design proficiency navigating Figma , with comprehensive handling of layout variables, complex prototyping wires, responsive grids, and automated developer handoff pipelines.
• Profound visual design fundamentals, showcasing authoritative control over typography principles, visual hierarchy rules, spatial ratios, interface layouts, and interactive behaviors.
• Outstanding verbal and written communication mechanics, with a proven history of managing high-level client presentations and influencing decisions across non-technical groups.
• Location Context: Full-time operational framework giving qualified practitioners the absolute flexibility to work remotely from home anywhere within the United States .
• Metropolitan Access Hubs: Access to physical corporate workspace environments and local collaboration nodes is supported for candidates based around Chicago, IL, and Nashville, TN.
