Job Title Advanced Practice Nurse (APN) – Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) Job Type Temp-to-Permanent (90-day temporary) or Permanent Schedule Monday–Friday Qualifications Active New Jersey State APN License Master's Degree in Advanced Practice Nursing Board Certification as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) Job Summary The Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) provides comprehensive psychiatric and mental health care to patients within the scope of practice. Responsibilities include conducting assessments, diagnosing conditions, developing treatment plans, prescribing appropriate interventions, and collaborating with the healthcare team to ensure quality patient care. Key Responsibilities Conduct patient assessments, obtain medical and psychiatric histories, and perform physical examinations. Diagnose mental health conditions and develop individualized treatment plans. Prescribe medications and recommend appropriate non-pharmacological treatments. Order, review, and interpret diagnostic tests and laboratory results. Coordinate referrals and consultations with other healthcare providers as needed. Monitor patient progress, evaluate treatment effectiveness, and update care plans accordingly. Document patient evaluations, treatments, and outcomes accurately. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality patient care.
