Job Description As a Security Officer Access Control Operations in Torrance, CA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a logistics and distribution location, you will help manage entry points, verify badges and visitor access, monitor activity, and support a welcoming environment for employees, drivers, and guests. You will use technology to document security-related activity, communicate clearly, and help deter incidents through a visible presence. Position Type: Full Time Pay Rate: $19.00 / Hour Job Schedule: DayTimeMon04:00 PM - 12:00 AMTue04:00 PM - 12:00 AMFri12:00 AM - 08:00 AMSat12:00 AM - 08:00 AMSun04:00 PM - 12:00 AM What You'll Do: Provide customer service to clients by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access-control policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities. Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and/or visitor authorization, and maintain accurate access and visitor records. Control access to logistics and distribution areas, including receiving, shipping, trailer, and warehouse locations, in accordance with site procedures. Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner and report security-related concerns to site leadership and/or Allied Universal supervision. Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility, perimeter, parking areas, and operational zones to help to deter unauthorized activity; working environments and conditions may vary by location. Minimum Requirements: At least one year of security-related experience is required. Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred. A guard card or license is preferred. Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred. Access control and badge experience is preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
