Women's Health Advance Practice Provider (GYN)

Provides primary care to patients, collaborating with and under the direction of physicians in the clinic, following established standards and practices. Helps with all aspects of patient care, including diagnosis, treatments and consultations. Educates patients about preventative care and prescribed treatments. Conducts physicals, orders tests and serves as a patient's primary healthcare provider.

Primary Department: UHS Perinatal Center

Location: Binghamton, New York

Responsibilities Include:

• Perform initial GYN and ongoing patient assessments, including history and physical examinations
• Order diagnostic tests and prescribes medications within scope of practice
• Manages postpartum visits, screening for pregnancy complications and evaluating physical and mental wellbeing after birth
• Consults with supervising physicians or other clinicians as dictated by patient needs and assessment findings
• Reviews medical record for follow-up or ordering of diagnostic studies under established protocols
• Demonstrates knowledge of and applies safety principles as identified by the practice

Qualifications:

• Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant certification
• Current New York State license
• BLS and ACLS certification

The position includes a competitive salary range of $129,000 - $135,000, bonus incentives, a sign-on bonus, relocation assistance, and a comprehensive benefits package.
