Job Summary

Cuready Healthcare Staffing is seeking a qualified Physical Therapist - Acute Care to support patient care and clinical operations within healthcare facilities. The ideal candidate will deliver safe, high-quality care while collaborating with interdisciplinary care teams and maintaining compliance with facility policies and professional standards.

Responsibilities

• Provide physical therapy services for acute care patients including evaluations and treatment plans.
• Educate patients and families on therapeutic processes and home exercise programs.
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to modify patient plans based on assessments.
• Implement assistive device training and ensure patient safety awareness.
• Perform routine reassessments to determine the progress of short-term goals.
• Manage patient care documentation using electronic charting systems like Epic.

Qualifications

• Current and valid California State Physical Therapy License.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Minimum of 1 year acute care experience preferred.
• Proficiency with assistive devices and rehabilitation therapies.
• Strong ability to perform comprehensive patient assessments.
• Excellent communication and patient education skills.
