Chaplain

“Be the light in someone’s day.”Sunrise is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Chaplain to provide spiritual and emotional support to residents, families, and staff across our Nursing, Assisted Living, and Independent Living communities. This is a meaningful opportunity to serve seniors through faith, ministry, and connection.This is a part time position approximately 20-25 hours a week.Responsibilities:Lead worship services, prayer groups, Bible studies, and spiritual programsProvide pastoral counseling, bereavement support, and crisis interventionOffer one-on-one spiritual visits, including in-room visits for residents with limited mobilityCoordinate with local clergy when needed for services or coverageBuild positive relationships with residents, families, and team membersMaintain accurate records of services and attendanceCollaborate with a multi-faith team to support residents of all backgroundsProvide occasional spiritual education/in-services for staff2–4 years of chaplaincy, ministry, or related experienceBachelor’s degree in Theology or related field preferred (not required)Strong communication and leadership skillsAbility to plan, organize, and lead regular services and small groupsAlignment with Sunrise mission, values, and ethical standardsCompassionate, respectful, and resident-focused approachFlexibility to adjust hours based on resident needs (within budgeted hours)Physical RequirementsAbility to stand up to 50% of the dayAbility to lift up to 35 lbsAbility to walk across campus buildings as neededValid driver’s license #J-18808-Ljbffr
