What We're Researching
We're running a paid study on parametric design practices and mechanical engineering workflows.
This project focuses on how professional designers construct 3D assemblies and plan for future modifications.
Your contributions will help us evaluate industry-standard approaches to feature trees and design history management .
What You'll Do
- Create complex parametric CAD models based on realistic engineering scenarios
- Design and execute structural modification tasks on your initial geometry
- Maintain a logical feature tree that preserves full design history
- Export and submit all final deliverables as native SolidWorks files
Who Should Apply
- Professional experience in mechanical engineering or industrial design
- Strong proficiency with 3D parametric modeling software (SolidWorks, NX, Fusion 360)
- Ability to produce native, fully editable SolidWorks assemblies
- Comfortable building models that anticipate future structural modifications
