The Allen County Public Library is looking for a customer-focused IT Technician to join our Information Technology team. In this role, you'll provide hands-on technical support for staff across our library system, ensuring that computers, devices, and technology remain reliable so our employees can deliver outstanding service to the community. What You'll Do As an IT Technician, you'll play a key role in supporting the library's technology infrastructure by: Installing, configuring, maintaining, and troubleshooting desktops, laptops, mobile devices, printers, and other peripherals Responding to Help Desk requests and ensuring issues are resolved promptly and professionally Managing user accounts in Active Directory and Microsoft 365, including password resets and access changes Assisting with network connectivity, basic server support, and escalating complex issues when needed Maintaining accurate documentation, asset inventories, and support records Contributing to disaster recovery readiness by keeping endpoint devices updated Participating in technology projects, system upgrades, and continuous improvement initiatives Providing friendly, easy-to-understand technical guidance and instruction to library staff What We're Looking For We're seeking someone who is: Passionate about technology and enjoys solving problems Customer-service oriented and patient when helping others Organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities A strong communicator who can explain technical concepts in a clear, approachable way Comfortable working both independently and as part of a collaborative IT team Curious and committed to staying current with evolving technology Qualifications You may be a great fit if you have: An associate degree in Information Systems or a related field or a high school diploma with formal IT training Two years of experience providing hardware and software technical support, or an equivalent combination of education and experience Experience supporting Windows computers, Microsoft 365, Active Directory, and LAN environments A valid driver's license Why Join Allen County Public Library?
