Key Qualifications:

• Valid Special Education teaching certification
• Demonstrated experience working with upper elementary students, particularly in grades 4 and 5
• Familiarity with self-contained environments and individual education plans (IEPs)
• Strong communication and collaborative skills, working effectively with paraprofessionals, related service providers, and families
• Adaptability to meet the unique needs of each student in a dynamic classroom setting

Primary Responsibilities:

• Provide individualized and small-group instruction aligned with each student’s IEP
• Foster a supportive and structured classroom environment that encourages academic and social growth
• Develop lesson plans that accommodate a variety of learning styles and needs
• Track progress, complete necessary documentation, and participate in IEP meetings
• Communicate regularly with parents and school staff to share student updates and strategies
