• Hours/Week: 40 hours/week

• Licenses/Certifications: Current PharmD or BS Pharmacy, Texas state license, BLS/ACLS, PALS (preferred)
• Experience: Hospital experience preferred

What You'll Do:

• Prepare and dispense medication orders per physician requests following established policies
• Interpret drug orders and transcribe into patient records accurately
• Compound and dispense pharmaceuticals including sterile, non-sterile, chemotherapy, and parenteral nutrition products
• Issue controlled substances and maintain proper records
• Provide clinical pharmaceutical care, manage drug therapies, and assist with pharmacokinetic and renal dosing
• Monitor for contraindications, interactions, and allergic responses in patient drug regimens
• Collaborate with healthcare teams during interdisciplinary rounds and in clinical consultations
• Participate in quality improvement, medication safety, and stewardship activities

What You Need:

• Required:
  • Valid pharmacist license in Texas
  • BLS/ACLS certification (AHA)
• Preferred:
  • Epic experience
  • Knowledge of neonatal medication and emergency medicine
  • Hospital experience
