Responsibilities

Picture yourself as a Prep Cook at Big Sky Resort and having the opportunity to:

Produce consistent, high-quality prep work that supports flawless final dishes-done with precision and a positive attitude
Take ownership of your station, cooking and plating with care and minimal supervision
Step into any kitchen support role as needed, maintaining harmony with fellow back-of-house teammates
Follow established systems for recipes, food storage, labeling, and prep rotation to maintain high standards of efficiency and compliance
Uphold pristine cleanliness and organization at your station and throughout the kitchen
Embrace feedback and guidance from culinary leaders as a path to growth and excellence
Learn and live our Boyne Standards and Boyne Basics to enhance the guest experience through your behind-the-scenes contributions

Qualifications

Recipe for Success:

At least 1 year of experience in a high-volume kitchen
A true passion for the culinary arts and a desire to learn
Familiarity with food safety protocols, kitchen equipment, and basic prep tools
Ability to follow recipes and accommodate allergy/dietary restrictions accurately
Strong sense of urgency and personal responsibility for quality work
Team-oriented mindset with a coachable attitude
Clean work habits and a commitment to a safe, organized kitchen environment
Ability to thrive in repetitive tasks and keep a steady pace under pressure
Willingness to work early, mid-day, and evening shifts, including weekends and holidays
Ability to lift, push or pull at least 35 pounds
Must be able to work on your feet for at least 8 hours
Must be able to climb stairs multiple times per shift
Must be able to carry a full tray with either hand
