Registered Nurse - NICU

Job Summary:
Provide specialized neonatal care to critically ill infants in a Level III NICU setting within a hospital known for comprehensive pediatric and maternal health services. Ensure patient safety, stability, and well-being while collaborating with the healthcare team.

Responsibilities:

• Monitor and assess neonatal patients, providing critical care according to established protocols.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, maintaining accuracy and documentation.
• Respond promptly to emergencies, including resuscitation and stabilization procedures.
• Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement care plans.
• Maintain detailed patient records within the Cerner electronic medical record system.
• Adhere to unit policies, guidelines, and safety protocols, including maintaining appropriate scrubs and dress code.

Qualifications:

• Hold at least 2 years of NICU experience, with a preference for candidates with Level III or higher familiarity.
• Possess valid and active NRP certification.
• Demonstrate strong attention to detail, organization, and critical thinking skills.
• Be licensed as a Registered Nurse, compliant with state licensing requirements.
• Exhibit excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Be willing to work every other weekend and participate in on-call shifts as required.
