Position Overview

A well-established outpatient cardiology practice is seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Cardiologist to provide locum coverage beginning in October 2026. This opportunity offers a primarily outpatient, non-invasive cardiology practice with no call responsibilities and strong support from advanced practice providers and referral partners.

Clinical Responsibilities
Outpatient cardiology consultations and follow-up visits
Interpretation of echocardiograms
Interpretation of electrocardiograms (EKGs)
General non-invasive cardiology services
Collaboration with advanced practice providers
Coordination of care with referral partners and specialists
Patient Volume
Approximately 16 clinic patients per day
Team Structure
Collaborate with two Advanced Practice Registered Nurses (APRNs)
Independent cardiology coverage with support from regional referral partners

Retirement of current cardiologist
Credentialing
Estimated credentialing timeframe: approximately 2 months
Expedited credentialing may be available when needed
Qualifications
Required
Board Certified or Board Eligible in Cardiology
If Board Eligible, graduation date must be provided
Current Vermont Medical License or willingness to obtain one
Current NPDB Self-Query report dated within 30 days of presentation
CPR Certification for Healthcare Providers
DEA Registration prior to start
BLS Certification (AHA)
ACLS Certification (AHA)
Ideal Candidate
Experienced in outpatient non-invasive cardiology
Comfortable practicing independently in a community-based setting
Skilled in echocardiography and EKG interpretation
Interested in providing continuity of care within an established patient population
Able to collaborate effectively with advanced practice providers and referral networks
