Delivery Driver Trainee - Paid Training, Child Care Benefit - $22/hr

Job Description

Job Description

Delivery Driver Trainee: $22/hour, paid training from day one, 4 days on, 3 days off. No experience needed.

Paid training from day one, and a child care benefit no other delivery company in Durham offers.

You do not need delivery experience. We hire for reliability and train the rest. If you have two or more years in one job, in any field, and you want steady hourly pay with real benefits and a four-day week, this is built for you.

Through Upwards, the largest child care network in the country, you get help finding and paying for daycare, a sitter or a nanny. For a parent working four 10-hour days, that is the difference between a job you can take and a job you cannot.

Catbyrd Seat Logistics is a Delivery Service Partner based in Durham, NC.

What you get

- $22.00 per hour

- 4-day work week: 10-hour shifts, 3 days off every week. You tell us your preferred days. One recurring weekend day, same day each week.

- Medical, dental, vision and life insurance

- 401(k) retirement plan

- Upwards child care benefit: help finding and paying for daycare, a sitter or a nanny

- Paid training from day one

- Company van, fuel, uniform and handheld device provided, so no personal vehicle needed

What you will do

- Deliver packages on local routes across the Triangle: Durham, Raleigh, Cary, Chapel Hill and surrounding areas

- Routes are GPS-guided and assigned daily. Load your van at the Durham station, run your route, return the van.

- Dispatch is late morning. Most days wrap up between 7 and 9pm.

- Roughly 150 to 200 stops a day

What you need

- No delivery experience needed. Two or more years in one job, in any field, is what we look for.

- A regular driver's license. No CDL required.

- 21 or older (insurance requirement)

- Clean driving record

- Able to pass a background check and drug screen

- Able to lift up to 50 lbs

How to apply

Apply here on ZipRecruiter. We call the same day, usually within the hour. If it looks like a fit, we book you a seat at a hiring event right on that call. Events run four times a week at our Durham station, and hiring decisions are made in the room.
