Warehouse Operations Lead

Location: Phoenix, AZ (4050 E Cotton Center Blvd Ste 65, Phoenix, AZ 85040) Pay: $50,000-$55,000/year As the Warehouse Operations Lead at Too Sweet Cakes, you will take ownership of the efficient movement, storage, and organization of ingredients, packaging, and finished products across our facility. This is a non-management role focused on logistics, inventory accuracy, and operational excellence. Your expertise will ensure smooth coordination between production, purchasing, and delivery teams while maintaining strict adherence to food safety and quality standards. Daily Operations & Oversight Oversee all warehouse activities including receiving, organizing, storing, and dispatching of goods Maintain a clean, safe, and organized warehouse environment in compliance with food safety standards Coordinate and manage inter-location transfers and support delivery logistics as needed Monitor spoilage, expiration dates, and ensure FIFO/FEFO stock rotation Serve as the primary liaison between production, purchasing, and delivery teams for material flow Take full ownership of task follow-through to ensure timely and accurate completion Perform additional operational duties and problem-solve as needs arise ERP & Inventory Management Manage and maintain inventory data within our ERP system (Wherefour) with high accuracy and timeliness Conduct regular inventory counts, reconcile variances, and maintain par levels Track and document incoming and outgoing inventory daily Work closely with vendors to track inbound shipments and ensure timely delivery of supplies Assist with monthly and quarterly reporting on inventory and COGS Ensure labeling, shelving, and stock tracking systems are current, scalable, and consistently used Communication & Coordination Maintain clear and timely communication with production and packaging teams regarding material needs Lead or participate in cross-functional meetings to align on upcoming production schedules or constraints Foster a culture of accountability, clarity, and respect within warehouse operations Administrative & Technical Responsibilities Submit warehouse-related invoices and receipts to the accounting team Utilize software and technology efficiently, including MacBook, printer, Excel, Word, Wherefour, ADP, and 7Shifts Maintain accurate documentation for inventory flow, vendor interactions, and receiving logs Support physical audits and help implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) for warehouse processes Health, Safety & Compliance Enforce proper food safety standards and ensure safe handling of all inventory items Monitor temperature-controlled areas and ensure compliance with storage guidelines Maintain safety standards for lifting, storage, and equipment use Promptly address any warehouse-related hazards or maintenance needs Requirements Minimum 3-5 years of experience in warehouse, inventory, or logistics management (food industry preferred) Strong ERP system experience (Wherefour, NetSuite, or similar) Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills Proven ability to take ownership and ensure follow-through on responsibilities Ability to lift 50+ lbs regularly and work in refrigerated environments as needed Experience with vendor communication, inventory forecasting, and cost control Proficiency in Excel, ADP, and 7Shifts preferred Flow-wrapper packaging experience a plus Benefits Full-time position with stable hours A dynamic team environment where collaboration is key Opportunity to work at a growing local bakery known for its high-quality products Eligibility for Benefits the first of the month following 60 days of employment Ready to Get Baking?
