Director of Finance | $98,000–$110,000 | On-Site | Direct Hire | Omaha, NE Metro Area

A growing organization is seeking a strategic finance leader to lead its finance and accounting operations. This role will oversee budgeting, fund allocation, financial reporting, compliance, capital planning, internal controls, and long-term financial strategy. Key Responsibilities
• Oversee daily financial operations, accounting functions, and finance department performance
• Lead the annual budgeting process, including budget-to-actual reporting and forecasting
• Manage fund allocation, financial reporting, and long-term financial planning
• Support capital budgeting, improvement planning, and development-related financial analysis
• Prepare and present financial reports and recommendations to leadership and stakeholders
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal financial regulations
• Oversee general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliations, payroll, and audit activity
• Develop and maintain financial controls, policies, procedures, and reporting standards
• Supervise, support, and provide direction to a small accounting and finance team
• Identify department gaps, improve processes, and help modernize financial systems and controls

Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related field required
• 2+ years of progressive financial management experience
• Municipal, government, nonprofit, public-sector experience preferred
• Prior supervisory or team leadership experience preferred
• Strong budgeting, financial reporting, compliance, and internal control experience
• Capital budgeting, fund accounting, debt management, or investment experience preferred
• CPA preferred, or ability to obtain within 24–36 months of hire
• Strong Excel, accounting software, analytical, and communication skills
• Ability to present financial information clearly to non-finance stakeholders
