Litigation Associate Attorney

This position offers the opportunity to work closely with experienced partners on a variety of litigation matters for established firm clients, while also encouraging the development of the associate’s own professional network and client relationships. Our attorneys work in a collegial, team-oriented environment that values strong advocacy, practical problem-solving, and exceptional client service. The Associate Attorney will support partners in managing litigation matters for the firm’s established client base while also building their own professional practice through networking and relationship development. The position involves a diverse range of civil litigation matters, including trusts and estates, business disputes, contract disputes, and real estate and construction disputes. Responsibilities Assist partners in the representation of clients in a variety of civil litigation matters Conduct legal research and draft memoranda, pleadings, motions, and briefs Participate in discovery, including drafting and responding to written discovery and preparing deposition outlines Attend depositions, hearings, mediations, and court proceedings as appropriate Collaborate with partners and other attorneys on case strategy and client communication Maintain strong relationships with existing firm clients through responsive and high-quality service Participate in professional networking and business development activities to cultivate new client relationships Stay current on legal developments relevant to litigation practice Qualifications J.D. from an accredited law school Admission to the Wisconsin State Bar, or eligibility for admission 5 or more years of litigation experience preferred (judicial clerkship experience is valued) Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities Interest in developing long-term legal practice and client relationships in the Madison community Ability to manage multiple assignments and deadlines in a team-oriented environment Pay Details $110,000.00 to $130,000.00 per year Equal Opportunity Employer/Veterans/Disabled To read our Candidate Privacy Information Statement, which explains how we will use your information, please navigate to The Company will consider qualified applicants with arrest and conviction records in accordance with federal, state, and local laws and/or security clearance requirements, including, as applicable: The California Fair Chance Act Los Angeles City Fair Chance Ordinance Los Angeles County Fair Chance Ordinance for Employers San Francisco Fair Chance Ordinance Massachusetts Candidates Only: It is unlawful in Massachusetts to require or administer a lie detector test as a condition of employment or continued employment.
