Maintenance Electrician

Maintenance ElectricianAs a Maintenance Electrician, you will be responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and enhancing electrical and mechanical equipment within a manufacturing environment. Your role will entail working independently from problem identification to implementation, ensuring the safe and efficient operation of equipment while supporting continuous improvement initiatives.ResponsibilitiesTroubleshoot and repair electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.Diagnose root causes of recurring equipment downtime and implement corrective actions.Support and troubleshoot PLC-controlled equipment including RS500, RS5000, and Siemens.Install and integrate new electrical, control, and automation components.Read and interpret electrical and mechanical schematics, drawings, and prints.Fabricate and install panels and system improvements as required.Maintain accurate documentation including as-built drawings, PLC programs, and spare parts.Coordinate installations to meet manufacturing requirements and GMP standards.Support continuous improvement and lean manufacturing initiatives.Communicate effectively across shifts and departments.Follow all company policies and demonstrate safe work practices at all times.Perform additional duties as assigned.Essential SkillsElectrical troubleshooting and PLC troubleshooting.Experience with 3-phase electrical systems.Knowledge of NEC and OSHA compliance.Ability to read electrical and mechanical schematics.Preventive and corrective maintenance skills.Familiarity with AutoCAD and project coordination.Additional Skills & QualificationsAssociate degree in Electrical Technology or related field or equivalent experience.Minimum of 5 years of electrical technician experience in a manufacturing environment.Certified Electrician or Journeyman Electrician preferred.Experience in consumer-packaged goods or lean manufacturing environments is a plus.Why Work Here?We offer comprehensive health, dental, and vision plans, along with a competitive 401k plan with matching contributions.
