Custodian

St. Mary Cathedral School is seeking a full-time, or part-time, Custodian to help clean the school and maintain the grounds. Hours are 2:00 pm - 10:30 pm during the school year and full-time hours during the day through the summer months. Job Summary When school is in session Daily vacuuming of every classroom. Daily vacuuming of Media Center, principal offices, staff rooms, and computer labs. Daily vacuuming of hallways. Daily emptying of wastebaskets throughout the school and deposit trash in dumpster. Daily cleaning of sinks and toilets in assigned restrooms. Daily washing of restroom floors. Weekly cleaning of glass on hallway and classroom doors. Responsible for see that the gym doors are locked after end of practices and games. Responsible for seeing that lights are turned off in classrooms and restrooms before leaving the building. Responsible for seeing that the building is locked and secure before leaving work. Qualifications Has the ability to perform manual tasks, such as lifting, bending, stooping, climbing, and reaching. Has the ability to work without direct supervision. Has the ability to follow instructions and maintains a hospitable and favorable relationship with people. Able to lift 50 lbs. Cleaning experience preferred. Accountability Reports directly to the Maintenance Supervisor. Is accountable to the School Principal for job performance. #J-18808-Ljbffr
