SALES & HOSPITALITY MANAGER

A to Z Wineworks LLC is hiring a Sales & Hospitality Manager to represent our three brands of A to Z Wineworks, Erath and REX HILL. This role is responsible for leading the sales performance, guest experience, team development, and daily operations of the winery's direct-to-consumer hospitality programs. While this role supports and represents all company brands, its primary location and operational focus is the REX HILL Tasting Room, serving as the flagship hospitality destination for brand storytelling, wine sales, wine club growth, and guest engagement. The Sales & Hospitality Manager develops and inspires a high-performing team, drives revenue growth, cultivates lasting customer relationships, and ensures operational excellence across all aspects of the tasting room experience.

Job Responsibilities:

Staff Leadership and Team Development
•  Recruit, onboard, train, develop, and retain a high-performing hospitality team.
•  Establish clear performance expectations and provide ongoing coaching, recognition, and accountability to support employee growth and engagement.
•  Conduct regular performance discussions, development planning, and performance management processes.
•  Facilitate the development and execution of training programs focused on hospitality standards, wine education, sales techniques, compliance requirements, and brand storytelling.
•  Foster a positive, collaborative, and inclusive culture that reflects company values and promotes employee engagement.

Sales and Outreach
•  Lead the achievement of tasting room revenue, wine club acquisition, retention, and conversion goals.
•  Monitor key performance metrics and sales trends, identifying opportunities to improve results through coaching, incentives, promotions, and guest engagement strategies.
•  Coach and develop team members in consultative sales techniques, wine club recruitment, and relationship-based selling.
•  Build and maintain partnerships within the local hospitality, tourism, and wine communities to increase referrals, visitation, and brand awareness.

Guest Experience and Hospitality
•  Ensure every guest receives a welcoming, memorable, and elevated hospitality experience reflecting our brand standards.
•  Serve as a visible hospitality leader by actively hosting tastings, tours, club experiences, and special events.
•  Maintain exceptional standards for service execution, guest engagement, and personalized hospitality.
•  Ensure consistent and accurate communication of brand stories, wines, vineyards, winemaking practices, and membership offerings.
•  Encourage a culture of hospitality excellence where team members consistently exceed guest expectations and create meaningful connections.

Tasting Room Operations
•  Oversee all daily tasting room operations to ensure efficiency, profitability, safety, and compliance.
•  Ensure compliance with OLCC regulations, shipping laws, cash handling procedures, PCI requirements, workplace safety standards, and company policies.
•  Collaborate with Finance, Operations, and DTC partners to manage inventory, merchandise, product pricing, and reconciliation processes.
•  Monitor operating expenses and labor costs while identifying opportunities to improve efficiency and support achievement of departmental financial goals.

Other duties and special projects as required, and at the discretion of the Company.

Position Requirements:

•  Bachelor's degree in hospitality, Business, Luxury Brand Management, or related field preferred; equivalent combination of education and experience considered.
•  Minimum of 4 years of management experience in hospitality, luxury, or retail with demonstrated leadership responsibility.
•  Previous wine, luxury hospitality, tourism, restaurant, or direct-to-consumer sales experience strongly preferred.
•  Proven ability to drive revenue growth, achieve sales goals, and lead high-performing teams.
•  Strong coaching, communication, conflict resolution, and employee development skills.
•  Strong analytical and business acumen with the ability to interpret sales performance and operational metrics.
•  Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, POS systems, reservation platforms, and CRM software.
•  Must be at least 21 years of age and hold a valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
•  Must possess or be able to obtain OLCC and Food Handler certifications.
•  Ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends, evenings, holidays, and special events.

Physical Requirements:

•  Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
•  Ability to lift, carry, and move up to 50 pounds up and down stairs in both indoor and outdoor hospitality environments.
•  Ability to work at a computer for extended periods as needed.

Your Compensation:

$70,000 - $85,000 per year plus incentive program eligibility
