Two contract positions are now open for skilled school psychologists, providing an opportunity to serve in dynamic school settings. This engaging onsite role is located near Waterbury, CT, with positions available at both a high school and an elementary/middle school. Enjoy a varied caseload, collaborate with dedicated teachers and staff, and make a difference in students’ academic, emotional, and behavioral success.
Key Qualifications:
- Active Connecticut School Psychologist license required
- Master’s or Specialist-level degree in School Psychology
- Prior experience working in school-based settings is strongly preferred
- Skilled in educational testing, counseling, and supporting IEP/504 plan development
- Excellent communication, organization, and collaboration skills
- Commitment to fostering positive student outcomes and supporting diverse learners
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct psychological and educational assessments
- Participate in Eligibility, IEP, and multi-disciplinary team meetings
- Provide individual and group counseling as needed
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to support student needs
- Interpret assessment results to inform intervention plans and accommodations
- Deliver crisis intervention and behavioral consultation when appropriate
- Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with district and state standards
