Registered Nurse - Emergency Room

Job Description

Job Summary:
Provide comprehensive emergency nursing care in a fast-paced, high-volume environment. Ensure patient safety, deliver quality clinical interventions, and collaborate effectively with the healthcare team to meet urgent patient needs.

Responsibilities:

• Assess incoming patients to determine severity of conditions and prioritize care.
• Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and established protocols.
• Monitor patient vital signs and clinical status continuously, responding promptly to changes.
• Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately in electronic medical records.
• Collaborate with physicians, technicians, and support staff to optimize patient care plans.
• Comply with hospital policies, safety regulations, and industry standards, including completing required computer modules prior to shift.

Qualifications:

• Hold a valid RN license with current state certification.
• Demonstrate at least 2 years of experience working in an Emergency Department setting.
• Certification in AHA ACLS, PALS, and BLS is required.
• Obtain and maintain TNS or TNCC certification, NIHSS certification preferred.
• Ability to quickly assess and respond to emergency situations in a trauma and stroke center environment.
