VP Global Operations

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a VP Global Operations based in the United States.

This newly created executive role serves as the senior strategic leader for a major global client partnership.
You will own the executive relationship, account strategy, commercial health, and long-term growth of the partnership.
Working closely with global delivery leadership, you will translate operational performance into meaningful business outcomes.
The role combines strategic account leadership with strong financial and commercial management across a complex global operation.
You will advise senior client stakeholders, shape priorities, manage risks, and align resources with evolving business needs.
Success requires deep knowledge of the small business financial ecosystem and the operational demands of FinTech and related services.
The position is highly visible, with recurring domestic and international travel to maintain executive alignment and strengthen the partnership.

Accountabilities:

• Serve as the senior executive point of contact for the client, building trusted C-level relationships and representing operational performance at the executive level.
• Act as the client advocate internally, ensuring evolving business needs, customer experience priorities, and service expectations are addressed effectively.
• Develop and guide the strategic direction of the global account while partnering with delivery leadership responsible for day-to-day execution.
• Apply a strong business and financial management lens to account leadership, including P&L awareness, cost management, forecasting, pricing, budgets, and resource allocation.
• Analyze operational and financial results to establish objectives, identify risks, and drive corrective actions and continuous improvement.
• Prepare and deliver clear executive-level reporting covering financial performance, operational results, strategic priorities, and business outcomes.
• Ensure account delivery remains aligned with contractual obligations, commercial terms, and agreed service expectations.
• Provide strategic oversight, coaching, and direction to the extended account leadership team while fostering accountability and high performance.
• Collaborate with executive leadership, finance, operations, support functions, and client stakeholders to shape long-term account strategy and growth.
• Lead negotiations, contract discussions, RFP/RFI activities, and other strategic commercial initiatives.
• Maintain strong executive relationships through recurring domestic and international travel, including client visits approximately every 30–60 days.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant professional experience; an MBA or advanced degree in business or finance is a plus.
• 12+ years of leadership experience supporting clients in FinTech, accounting, bookkeeping, payroll, tax preparation, payments, or small business software, with strong knowledge of SMB market dynamics.
• At least 7 years of account management experience owning client relationships, account strategy, and account P&L within outsourcing/BPO, sales, or consulting environments.
• Proven success managing large, complex global accounts and driving significant business growth.
• Experience supporting, partnering with, or selling into the Intuit ecosystem, including solutions such as QuickBooks, TurboTax, Credit Karma, Mailchimp, payroll, payments, or other SMB financial technology products, is strongly preferred.
• Demonstrated executive presence with experience developing and managing C-level and senior client relationships.
• Strong strategic thinking combined with the ability to translate strategy into effective tactical execution.
• High level of financial acumen, with experience interpreting business performance, financial results, forecasts, and operational metrics.
• Strong expertise in negotiation, contract management, MSA/SOW structures, and RFP/RFI processes.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills, with expert-level presentation development and delivery capabilities.
• Experience in strategic account leadership, client engagement, business management, change management, and cross-functional leadership.
• Strong data analysis and performance management capabilities, including experience with business analytics tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or MicroStrategy.
• Deep understanding of the small business financial ecosystem, including bookkeeping, accounting, payroll, payments, tax preparation, and financial management.
• Significant experience supporting organizations serving SMBs and self-employed consumers, with knowledge of their end-to-end customer journeys.
• Experience with one or more areas including accounting and bookkeeping, tax preparation and filing, payroll administration, payments and merchant services, small business financial management, or personal finance solutions.
• Understanding of seasonal business cycles and operational requirements associated with tax filing periods, payroll processing, and small business financial operations.
• Willingness and ability to travel internationally and domestically on a recurring basis, approximately every 30–60 days, with additional travel as required.
