Accounting Support Specialist

We have been making quality beverages for the Midwest since 1872 and supplying them from 14 distribution centers across Iowa, Nebraska, and South Dakota.Position Summary: To support the company Staff Accountant and CFO with financial transaction processing and reporting.Duties/Responsibilities:Prepare and post journal entries.Maintain general ledger supporting schedules.Reconcile company bank statements.Able to react to change productively and handle other essential tasks as assignedReview and approve Accounts Payable batches within Microsoft Dynamics GPExecute intercompany balancing recording bank transactionsEnsure accuracy while reconciling monthly bank accountsAdditional Duties as needed:Monitor and verify accurate time keeping in accordance with company policies.Conduct temp-to-hire employee onboardingAssign and process employee badgesMaintain driver files and oversee all DOT physicalsAssist in administration of child support requests, wage garnishments, and verification of employmentCrosstrain and provide backup to other departments and office staff as neededComplete daily filing for payroll, HR, and other departments within the officeEducation/Experience:Must be 18 years of ageAssociate’s Degree or currently working towards Associate Degree in Accounting.Required Skills/Abilities:Communication SkillsComputer SkillsAnalytical SkillsDexterity SkillsProblem SolvingInterpersonal SkillsMust be able to read, speak, and write in English to be able to communicate with customers, coworkers, and supervisor.Work Environment: Works in air-conditioned officePhysical Requirements:Specific vision abilities required for this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust and focus.Regularly sittingOccasional reaching, squatting, and bendingAbility to lift/carry <20lbsAbility to push/pull <20lbsReports to: Staff AccountantJob Status: Full-TimeFLSA Status: Salary/ExemptWork Schedule: M-F 8:00 am to 4:30 pm; extended days and hours as needed #J-18808-Ljbffr
