Job Details Job Title: Crisis Specialist / Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) Location: Stapley Drive, Mesa, AZ 85204 Position Type: Full Time Education Level: High School Diploma/GED Travel Percentage: Up to 80% Shift: Evening Shift (Specific shift times listed below) Job Category: Behavioral Health/Social Work Shift Options 40 hours: Wed – Sat 2pm – 12am 40 hours: Wed – Sat 4pm – 2am 30 hours: Sun – Tue 4pm – 2am 30 hours: Thu – Sat 10pm – 8am Shift differentials: $3 per hour for evenings, $4 per hour for weekends. Bilingual language differentials available. Responsibilities Respond to on‑site crisis calls that cannot be resolved by the Crisis Call Center. Utilize best practices in crisis intervention to support individuals and families in crisis. Assess risk, engage clients, develop plans, and provide follow‑up as needed. Work effectively and respectfully with clients, families, schools, first responders and other stakeholders. Focus on seriously mentally ill individuals, children/ adolescents, and family interventions. Assess and stabilize individuals across various ages, developmental stages, cultural backgrounds, and experiences. Make appropriate referrals to other agencies and/or long‑term counseling when required. Demonstrate flexibility and adapt to change. Qualifications GED/High school diploma with a minimum of 1.5 years of behavioral health experience; or an associate’s degree in the behavioral health field; or a bachelor’s degree (not in behavioral health) with 1 year of behavioral health experience; or a bachelor’s degree in the behavioral health field; or a master’s degree and an Arizona license or eligibility for an Arizona license. Preferred: One year of experience practicing under one of the following licenses: Licensed Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (LAMFT) Licensed Associate Counselor (LAC) Licensed Associate Substance Abuse Counselor (LASAC) Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) Licensed Independent Substance Abuse Counselor (LISAC) Valid Arizona Driver License with at least 4 years of driving experience and compliance with Terros driving policy. Valid Arizona Fingerprint Clearance card (Level 1); or willingness to obtain within 7 working days of employment.
