Invasive Cardiology RN Position

Schedule

This is a 13-week contract position, with shifts scheduled for 4x10 hours from 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM. There are no weekend, call, or holiday requirements, but candidates must be available to stay until the last patient is cared for.

Job Description

The Invasive Cardiology RN will work in a unit that includes 4 dedicated Cardiac Catheterization Labs, 3 dedicated Electrophysiology labs, and 2 shared labs, completing over 6,000 procedures annually. The unit provides advanced cardiovascular treatments, including complex coronary procedures, VAD/ECMO implementation, and various ablation and cardiac device procedures.

Responsibilities

• Accurate monitoring and recognition of life-threatening arrhythmias
• Circulate and scrub during procedures while maintaining a sterile field
• Perform EKG lead placement and prep access sites
• Insert and program AICDs and perform pacemaker insertions
• Provide care for patients undergoing invasive cardiology procedures

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of RN experience in a relevant cardiology setting
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications are required
• Experience with Epic charting system is preferred
• Must be willing to care for COVID patients
