Staff Pharmacist in Anaheim, CA

Job Description

Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Pharmacist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A skilled Pharmacy Technician is needed for an interim inpatient role in the Anaheim area, supporting a facility with 117 licensed beds and an average daily census of 44. This position offers a full-time schedule initially, transitioning to a PRN role, ideal for a local professional familiar with hospital pharmacy operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare and compound IV medications with accuracy and adherence to safety standards.
Manage medication dispensing and inventory using Pyxis automated systems.
Support pharmacy operations including order entry through Paragon/Allscripts systems.
Collaborate with pharmacy staff to maintain efficient workflow and patient care.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

Valid California Pharmacy Technician license is mandatory.
Proven experience with IV compounding and filling medications using Pyxis or similar automated systems.
Familiarity with inpatient pharmacy workflows and hospital order entry software.
Strong attention to detail and ability to work flexible shifts.

Schedule:

Full-time (40 hours/week) for approximately four weeks.
Shift rotations vary between 7:30 AM–4:00 PM and 12:00 PM–8:30 PM, with weekend shifts from 8:00 AM–4:30 PM.
Transition to a PRN schedule after the initial contract period, with availability to cover as needed.
