Industrial Painter

Job Full Description

Express Employment Professionals is currently recruiting for our Jamestown, NY client. Our client is looking for an Industrial Painter.


Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, grinding, masking, and applying primers.
• Mix paints, coatings, and solvents according to specifications.
• Apply paint, powder coat, or protective finishes using spray guns, including HVLP equipment.
• Inspect finished products for quality, coverage, and appearance.
• Perform touch-ups and rework as needed.
• Maintain painting equipment and ensure proper cleaning and storage.
• Follow all safety procedures and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Keep work areas clean and organized.
• Work closely with production teams to meet quality and scheduling requirements.

Qualifications:

• Previous industrial painting or automotive painting experience preferred.
• Experience with spray painting equipment and surface preparation techniques.
• Ability to read and follow work instructions and specifications.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to lift materials and stand for extended periods.
• Knowledge of workplace safety practices and hazardous material handling.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with HVLP spray systems.
• Knowledge of primers, coatings, and paint application methods.
• Manufacturing or production environment experience.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Hours are M-F 7 am to 330 pm and pay is between $22-$26hr based on experience.
