Physician - Outreach Section Chief

Job Title

This is an OPEN CONTINUOUS ANNOUNCEMENT and will remain open until July 14, 2026. The initial cut-off date for referral of eligible applications will be May 19, 2026 with subsequent cut-off dates every 2 weeks. Work Schedule: Full-time, schedule to be determined by supervisor.

Pay: Competitive salary, annual performance bonus, regular salary increases.

Paid Time Off: 50-55 days of paid time off per year (26 days of annual leave, 13 days of sick leave, 11 paid Federal holidays per year and possible 5 day paid absence for CME).

The following will be the primary functions of the position:

• Understands and follows VHA's "Mission Statement", "Code of Ethics", organizational policies, and structure.
• Supervises staff in the Outreach Section.
• Provides clinical care in the Outreach Section.
• Performs administrative duties in the Outreach Section.
• Provides supervision of medical house-staff, and students as needed.
• 0.8 FTE of the position will be dedicated to Outreach Section including administrative responsibilities and clinical care. 0.2 FTE of the position will be dedicated to patient care in another Section or Program as determined by the Deputy Service Chief. The proportions of the FTE listed above can be changed at the direction of the Deputy Service Chief.
• Performs additional duties as needed to achieve the VA Mission at the direction of the Deputy Service Chief.
