Job Overview A law firm seeks an experienced Associate Attorney for the Statutes Department in Los Angeles, CA. This full‑time position offers an opportunity to ensure compliance with legal deadlines and oversee case filings in personal injury law. The role involves advising the legal team on statute‑related matters and managing a team of paralegals and legal assistants. Duties Lead and manage a team tracking statutes of limitations for ongoing cases. Oversee timely and accurate filing of legal documents. Provide guidance and training on statute‑related matters. Research and interpret statutes of limitations and legal deadlines. Advise attorneys on statute‑related issues and legal remedies. Review case files for compliance with filing deadlines. Maintain an up‑to‑date master list of statutes and deadlines. Develop strategies to manage risks related to statutes of limitations. Monitor case progress to avoid missed deadlines. Requirements Juris Doctor (JD) degree and active license to practice law in California. 1+ years of experience in personal injury law or related field. Strong understanding of statutes of limitations and legal deadlines. Excellent research, writing, and analytical skills. Ability to interpret and apply complex legal statutes. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Effective communication and interpersonal skills. Education Juris Doctor (JD) degree. Certifications Active license to practice law in California. Skills Research and analytical skills. Attention to detail. Organizational skills. Communication and interpersonal skills.
