Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a PACU position requiring trauma and pediatric experience along with ACLS and PALS certification.

Details

• Work in a 40-bed PACU unit within a hospital setting
• Patient ratio of 1:2
• Shift hours are 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM
• Scheduling is set in 6-week blocks with 3 required call shifts within each block
• Floating required within peri-anesthesia areas including Endoscopy, PreOp, and Phase II
• Uses standard PACU equipment and ventilator monitoring
• Charting completed in Cerner
• Support staff includes a HUC available 7:30 AM-4 PM and 4 PCTs assigned to specific pods who assist with labs, catheterizations, and patient transport

Requirements

• Active RN license (NC or Compact) currently in hand
• Minimum of 2 years of recent PACU experience required
• Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, PALS
• NIH Stroke Scale experience required
• Trauma and pediatric experience required
• Ventilator monitoring skills required
• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
• US Social Security Number and date of birth required for consideration

Additional Information

• Surgical green or navy scrubs required as part of the dress code
• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility, as local candidates will not be considered
